The fourth round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship, the Grand Prix of Jeddah 2025, organized by the Jeddah Season 2025, will kick off tomorrow for the first time in the Kingdom. The race will take place on November 27, 28, and 29 at the Northern Obhur Waterfront in a strategic location that gives the championship a unique visual character, amidst an atmosphere full of excitement and thrill.
The press conference announcing the competitions was held today at the event location on the Northern Obhur Waterfront, with wide media coverage from local and international outlets. The conference included the revelation of the Kingdom’s preparations to host this global event, details of the championship’s schedule, and its system, including free practice, qualifying sessions, speed races, and the main Grand Prix of Jeddah 2025 race, in addition to its integrated program of accompanying entertainment activities and shows.
The UIM F1H2O World Championship at the Grand Prix of Jeddah 2025 will see the participation of 10 teams comprising elite racers from various countries around the world with 20 powerboats, in an international sporting event that reflects Jeddah’s growing position on the global marine sports map.
On the first day of the championship, the official program begins with free practice, followed by a trial of the two-seater F1H2O boat. On the second day, the qualifying sessions and speed races begin, where winners of the top three positions will be crowned. The second day will also determine the boats’ starting positions for the main race, as the winner is granted the best place advantage at the moment of the first launch according to the final result across three levels. On the third day, as the fourth round of the championship concludes, competitors will vie for the Grand Prix of Jeddah 2025, which includes three places, amidst a huge celebration marking the end of the championship, highlighting the Kingdom’s status as a global sports tourism destination.
The championship audience will experience a comprehensive experience combining sporting competition with artistic and cultural performances. The first night features a “Laylat Khbeiti” (Khbeiti Night) which presents a creative folk color, while the performances continue on the following two days with “Laylat Yanbuawi” (Yanbuawi Night) and “Laylat Samri” (Samri Night). The accompanying events also include musical concerts and DJ shows, in addition to diverse interactive experiences, and a dedicated food and beverage area offering various options for visitors.
