French Driver Sebastien Ogier Snaps Up World Rally Championship Title in Jeddah

The final round of the World Rally Championship (WRC), Rally Saudi Arabia 2025, concluded today, Saturday, November 29, 2025, with the coronation of French driver Sebastien Ogier of the Toyota Gazoo Racing team as the 2025 World Rally Champion (WRC).
Ogier secured the first place with a total of 293 points. He was followed by his teammate, Britain’s Elfyn Evans, who finished second with 289 points, while Finland’s Kalle Rovanpera took third place with 256 points. Ogier managed to clinch the championship title in the final meters of the Dhahban 2 (Power Stage).
• WRC 2 Category: Oliver Solberg (Toyota Gazoo Racing) was crowned champion, with France’s Yohan Rossel finishing second, and Bulgaria’s Nikolay Gryazin third.
• WRC 3 Category: Italy’s Matteo Fontana was crowned champion, followed by Australia’s Taylor Gill in second, and France’s Giovanni Rossi in third.
The final round saw strong competition over four days, during which drivers completed 17 stages covering a total distance of 1,218 km, including 319 km of special stages. Belgium’s Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) topped the overall ranking for this specific round after a consistent performance, with France’s Adrien Fourmaux coming in second, and World Champion Sebastien Ogier finishing third.

World Rally Champion, Sebastien Ogier, said after his victory:
“I am very happy to win the title. It was a tough competition with Evans and Scott, and I thank the team for their support. The championship was difficult, but we managed to decide it in the final moments.”
Sebastien Ogier added that he plans to compete in the World Rally Championship next year, aiming for the title and participating in more rounds, after missing three rounds this season. He also noted that he has now equaled the historical record of winning the title 9 times.
